Clara Chen's journey to use less single-use plastic began when she became a first-time mom. Upon discovering that most of the plastics she discards end up in the oceans again, contaminating the water supply and producing hundreds of microplastics. She was appalled when she realised her baby consumed the same food and water.

Clara founded Nativ Tales after being frustrated with how much waste the home cleaning industry produced, especially the amount of single-use plastic waste created by our bathroom and household cleaning essentials.

She wanted to do her part to help, but it was hard to find great household products like hand soap, laundry detergent, and multi-purpose cleaners that didn’t come packaged in plastic.

From there, Nativ Tales was born. Switching to a zero waste options will help solve the water waste problem and reduce our plastic footprint.
